Documents might not print correctly or the following problems might occur:
- Application errors.
- Printing discontinues without warning.
- "86 parameter" appears on the display panel of the printer and printing discontinues.
Increase the memory setting for virtual memory, and then start printng. If this is not helpful, add additional memory to the computer.
"Preview" might not display correctly on Windows 95/98/Me even if additional memory is added to the computer.
* For Windows NT4/2000/XP or higher, "_rpcs" directory will be created in the drive which contains the Windows directory (e.g. If the Windows directory is C:\Windows, then C:\_rpcs\ will be created.). This directory will be created in a hidden folder.
* If a Separator Page of Windows is selected, some documents might not print as expected.
In Chinese (Traditional Chinese/Simplified Chinese) OS, following problems might occur when printing Watermark character with combining 2-byte system code character (e.g Chinese character) and 1-byte system code font(e.g. Arial, Times New Roman, etc.):

It can be disabled manually, but this is not necessary as this setting will not have any effect on the job.

-6. [Fonts/Texts]
* When printing watermark text using large font, printing might take longer.
The time is reduced by changing the font size for watermark text smaller.
* If "Adobe Type Manager" is installed, some fonts might not be printed depending on font type.
If this occurs, make following settings with "Adobe Type Manager".
1. Start "Adobe Type Manager".
2. Click [Settings] tab and push "Advanced" button, then open [Advanced Settings] window.

-7. [Bi-directional Communication]
* When printing in a Bluetooth environment, bi-directional communication might fail, resulting in the unavailability of Change Accessories/Paper Source Tray auto-setting function.
Though this failure seldom affects printing, to perform printing in the most appropriate conditions, please set [Change Accessories] in [Printer Properties] manually.

-Other issues:
* Depending on amount of the memory installed on your computer, printing might take longer from an application.
Also, an operating system running on insufficient memory might cause an application to discontinue printing.
* General protection violation error might occur depending on the specific environments and the type of the printed data.
* Part of data might not be printed correctly, depending on the display driver to use.
* If the function of printer driver is minimized, part of data might not be printed correctly depending on the application.
* Printed result of Gray patterns might be different from that on the screen, depending on the application.
* Part of image data on the screen might not be printed depending on the application.
* Depending on the application, there is a possibility that print settings made on the Print Setting screen of an application will be lost after printing. Therefore, make sure to specify or confirm print settings before printing.
* When printing documents containing a mixture of landscape and portrait pages, printing might not perform as expected if "document orientation" selected in [File] > [Printer Properties] is not consistent with that of the first page, or even if each page's paper orientation is set properly.
In such a case, change "document orientation" set in [File] > [Printer Properties], according to that of the first page.
* When printing in an application other than Excel, if "Increase auto-keep settings for applications" is selected on the [Advanced Options] tab in [Printer Properties], print settings might not be reflected correctly.
If this occurs, disable "Increase auto-keep settings for applications".
* Inclination of the object in vertical format might be the same with in horizontal format.
* When parallel port mode in your computer is set to ECP, if device driver lpt.vxd (implemented to system) version is "4.00.953", the document might not be printed properly.
In such a case, change parallel port mode to other modes, or use lpt.vxd version "4.00.955".
* When printing with "Layout" or "Reduce/Enlarge", line thickness might be different depending on the drawing position.
* In using the printer driver of cross platform, make sure to set up the alternate driver to server before the client loads the printer driver.
* Paper types that must be set in a unique direction in the tray (opposite direction than usual), such as envelopes or prepunched paper, might be printed in 180 degree rotation. To change the direction, please use "Rotated by 180 degrees" in the [Misc.] tab.
Also when printing documents containing a mixture of landscape and portrait pages, pages might be printed in 180 degree rotation. In such a case, please use "Mixed Original Orientations" in the [Printer Configuration] dialog box.
* To print more than two copies in page order (P1, P1, P2, P2 ...) without using "Collate", open [Print Settings] screen from [Printers] window, and click [Finishing] tab, then disable "Collate".
* When printing 3 sets of a 2-page document, if collate function is specified on the application, data of 6 pages might be passed to the printer. In this case, if "Staple" is enabled in the printer driver screen, 6 pages are stapled together. To staple each set of copies, please disable collate on the application.
* When selecting "Color" from "Clolor/ Black and White" setting in the [Setup] Tab, black and white document might be printed as a color job, depending on application or data.
In order to print a document in black and white, select "Black and White" in "Clolor/ Black and White" setting.
* It is impossible to print from Microsoft Office binder.
* Remote Install is not available.
* In the function for "Adjust photographs", adjustment for image data will not performed effectively for images other than on overexposed or underexposed images.
* When using "Adjust photographs" function, the adjustment function might not work correctly depending on the image data.
* When the colors of a printed document contain various unintended shades, go to [Color profile] tab in [Print Quality] > [User Settings] and match each component with the same color profile.
* If your printer driver has a long Printer or Port name, the application might suddenly terminate when the printer is selected or when printing has started. To avoid this, make sure to shorten the Printer or Port name of the printer driver beforehand.
* Images of large data size or high resolution might not be printed properly due to insufficient memory.
If the resolution is set to 1200 dpi , try changing the resolution to 600 dpi.
* In certain instances [Job Type] might suddenly be cancelled during a print job, this might be due to the fact that print job data is separated into segments when being sent to the printer driver. If this occurs, disable the "Return to Normal Print" check box in [Printer Configuration] before beginning the print process.
* Changing the printer name will reset all the custom icon settings to the default.
* When performing continuous or multiple print jobs in a Bluetooth environment on Windows XP SP2, pages/copies following the first page/copy might not be printed.
To avoid this problem, print each page/copy individually leaving a brief time interval between each one.
* Depending on your printer model, usage of the functions Toner saving and Smoothing might only be available if they are set separately and not at the same time.
* For printer models that support the Limitation Settings function, if functions are limited using this in the [Advanced Options] tab, custom settings that had been previously created might not be loaded correctly.
To avoid this problem please set Limitation Settings before creating Custom settings.
* For printers with "Crops" function, when using the "Crops" function, crops might not be printed if the original size is the same as the printout size or when the full area of the page is used for imposition.
* Depending on the version of Corel Wordperfect, Booklet printing will be unavailable.
* For printer models that support "Cover sheet" and "Chaptering", "Cover sheet" and "Chaptering" can be set on the first page at the same time, but Cover sheet will be printed on one side only.
* Depending on your printer model, printing might take longer if the paper orientation in the source tray is different from the document orientation.
The time might be reduced by selecting "Shift load to driver" for the "Job Load Distribution" setting in Printer Configuration.
